CCE crash after VAF creation

Well, well, my problem turned up again.

I hope maybe someones got an idea before I re-install my system and try again.

I use the Big 3 tools to convert DVDs. Now, when DoCCe4u pops up and starts after DF4U is finished, it creates the .vaf file fine and then sits on 0% for the 1st pass and nothing happens.
Ive tried re installing all proggies, installed avisynth 2.5.3 (even though it shows up as 2.5.2) again, upgraded to the "new" dvddecrypter...
No changes.

Im running a P4 2.6 HT, P4P800 Board, 512 Ram.

I heard that the APCI (not ACPI) has something to do with it, someone know in detail what the APCI does?

Well, i have the same problem with a barton 2500+ .. it arrives at the end of the creation of vaf and it crashs.

I've tried CCE alone but , without the script sent from DOCCE4U and no crash .. i made it with vfapi, and no problemas at all. I will try with avisynth 2.0.8 instead of the latest one. LEt's see if the problem still occurs.

Just being curious: Do you use more than one hard drive (serial ata even?) ?

I will re intall my system and use it without this APIC mode (not APCI, as Ive called it before). It was mentioned in another thread that this causes problems with DC4U

Yes, i use two Maxtor sata drives. But i've changed avisynth to 2.0.8 and now it works ok .. well at least i've made a copy with sucess.

What a coincidence... I use the same sort of drives.

I got it working now.
I re installed the system after I turned off the APIC mode in the bios. And *poof*, it works without a problem.

No idea why though, I just read about this hint in another thread.

Let's see if mine was realy the avisynth problem .. if not i'm going to try your idea also.
