Alieware PC's Anyone got one ?

hey all

ive been looking at the alienware area 51 desktop extreme pcs and i would like to know more

firstly anyone got an alienware pc of any kind ?

Did you have any hassle with them when ordering ?

did the pc meet your expectations ?

are u happy with your purchase and the components etc ?

what did u get ?

and any other views you have on them !

can only people who actually have one of these pcs post or people who know others who actually have one of these pcs thanks very much

The most recent PC-Zone magazine reviewed one of their machines. They couldn't praise it high enough. Sounds like a real gamers machine, with excellent support and money back refund if you don't want it.

But...
To me it sounded a little expensive, im sure I could build my own machine from parts that would be cheaper. Also, can't help but feel they are sponsored by Nvidia as none of their machines come with Radeon cards. And IMHO the very high end Radeons still seem to be in the lead performance wise (but I could be wrong... :) )

your praise sounds good sothats one tick mark in my book

as for nvidia cards thats not true the offer at the momement is on the nvidia 5950 ultra but im going to downgrade to a 9600xt instead and save me 200 odd as i can then spend that saved money on a serial ATA raid 0 array 240 gb (2X120) which to me is definately better value (as im not much of a games person (yet!) and i think i just want fast start up times (RAID YAY ) and it looks really cool ) (plus yes i could probably build it cheaper but i dont really have the time nor would my machine look so cool )
