I am trying to burn an image file using Nero6. The drive is a Lite-On LDW-411S and is new (I haven't burned any other discs yet with it). Media is Princo DVD-R, 2X I think. I can burn the exact same image file with my other computer that uses a Pioneer DVR-103 and it plays fine. Every disc burned with the Lite-on gives me the same "disc error" when I try to play it on the stand alone. The player reads the disc as dvd and then reports "disc error." Neither Windvd nor PowerDvd will play them either.
Any ideas?

I upgraded firmware and d/l BookType for LiteOn drives v1.0.0 and it fixed it. But now I'm locked in to a 2x burn speed and I rather burn at 1x. I may have to go back to an older firmware version.

Where did you download the booktype thing for Lite-On drives?

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools?tool=504#comments. There is a link for download and if you click to the link on the left, under "tool". It will take you to a posting with some info about it.

Im guessing by your comment and others I've read in various posts, that the consensus is princo media sucks?
