Hey guys,
I've got a problem that I need some help with. About a week ago my wife was complaining that her computer no longer encoded her videos properly. She's set up with flask, and it had been working properly for quite some time. I checked all the settings, reinstalled divx, nothing helped. I finally restarted, and woah, it didn't even start. I've tried a lot of things. So I thought fine I'll set her up with XMeg. Encoded one video just fine. I thought, O.K., Flask sucks. second video encoded with XMPeg though, errors. I moved to Gordian knot on her computer. First time everything went fine, second time...more errors. So we started using my computer for all video encoding, which worked fine, after all this was my "well oiled machine." four days this went on. and then the same thing happened to my machine. All machines in the house have the same problem now. everything works fine on the machines except encoding divx. Every machine is different too, pentium 4 hyper threading, PIII, AMD XP. This is very strange. I don't have an anti virus program installed, because I've never had any problems and A-V programs that I've used have tended to be resource hogs. Any suggestions would be welcome.

If the codecs are unistalled and the engines e.g., flask, gordian knot unistalled or deleted, the encoding will process but the audio will be totally out of synch. What's more is I tried delaying the audio through various methods to no effect, they all screw up the video. It would be funny if I weren't so ticked.
