Hi, first I would like to stress that I have used the search function, as I'm sure that this issue has been touched before. But I cant find the answer.
I'm having this problem, when capturing from my TV-card. The captured XVID file starts OK, but after a while, the video is ahead of the sound, then from time to time, the video stutter, and the sound catch up. Then it starts to separete again until the next catch up.
If I use the time-line (Zoomplayer) and jumps to a new place in the movie, the sound and video is OK, but after a little while, the video is again in front of audio.
I'm using XVID 1 beta 2. The sound is compressed as MP3. The CPU usage during encoding is about 70-85% (Barton 2800, 256 DDRAM).
Therefore I have these questions:
A. Is there anyway to tell XVID when to wait for the audio (If I could make this happen every 10 sec insted of every 2-3 min as it is now, I think it would be better)?
B. In line with no A, during the encoding, can I force the video and audio to be in sync at specified times? Has that anything to do with the different frame types?
C. Will the Reclock filter be usefull in this situation?
