Hi guys.

I am up to do some codec tests with high resolutions (e.g. HDTV), and I would like to have the sharpest, and the best image possible. Take for example upsizing a DVD to 1920×1080. Ehat filters would you use?

Seeing that I invented it, I'd use SharpResize (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60039). :D

DCTFilter()
TemporalSoften(2,3,3,3,2) # Depends on source...
SharpResize() # Maybe with lower sharpening than 255 ("150")
UnSmooth(smoother="AddGrain", params="5,0,0") # Depends on source

SharpResize needs parameters, namely width and height .

Yes, as...

SharpResize(1024, 576)

But I meant the sharpening strength it uses !!!

Correct me, but doesn't it use a default strength of 255 ???

(xstren, 255)
(xthresh, 255)

Good for anime, but for real movie...

So I thought 150 would do a better job !!!

I find it works great at 255. http://mf.creations.nl/resizecomparison.png

Ok, looks great with this picture... Is this "Reloaded" ???

But for my eyes, I would prefer a 50/50 mix of SharpResie & Lanczos...

Would say Its personal favor what to choose... ;)

Just a request... :D

Maybe, when you have some free time, feel bored, or somehow motivated...

Could you consider to write a "all in one" re-mastering script ???

Something like...

SharpResize + UnSmooth + HQ Dering + HQ DCTFilter + Detail Illusion = 1fph

Maybe... Please !!! :)

PS: This request is not meant in a sarcasm way...
