Followed chickenmans excellent dvd to dvdr tutorial which was perfect for me apart from a minor detail. I authored the dvd with maestro which played perfectly on my standalone. The only thing was when the movie finished it started to play again from the beginning whereas i would have liked it to stop completely. I'm sure this could be done with maestro but i dont know how to do it. Any help would be great.

Does it start on it's own or do you have to push play on the remote? Did Maestro give you any warnings at the end of the build? I have not seen chickenmans tut but just guessing, I'd say you didn't setup the "First Play" option.

Does it on its own and i did set up the first play option to chapter 00:00:00:00. Tried it on my other standalone and it didnt start playing again........... strange.

I could be that your 1st stand alone got set to repeat mode by accident somehow. I would check that sence it did not repeat on the 2nd stand alone.

if it is indeed that one of your standalones loops the title at the end, you can create a blank menu for it to jump to at the end of the movie, and set that to timeout to nowhere, or just set it to still and the dvdplayer will stop playing after a few mins.

with DVD Studio Pro 2.x, which is basically maestro anyway, it has a stop command you can set as a target in the connections list, which really should be in maestro anyway.

With DVD Maestro, I create a command sequence with just a NOP command. This works for me - my standalone stops when it reaches it.
