Just been trying to backup Bo Selecta Series 2. Ripped the disc to hard drive and then opened in DVD Shrink 3.0 beta 5. The default compression was set to 55% and it was still oversize.

So I figured I would remove two of the audio tracks 2 & 3, the commentary and the soundtrack without laughter. Unticked these two on the main movie, as I went on to the extra features these two boxes were ticked and grayed out.

As I clicked each the box became ungreyed and the overall disc size dropped, however the boxes were still ticked. Clicking again, the boxes were now unticked and the overall size has dropped again.

I was just wondering what the significance of the gray out boxes were, are these audio tracks linked to main movie ?

Ended up with an overall compression of 57% which I guess is going to look pretty bad!!

Mike.

I think you're switching levels, and the greyed out boxes represent streams that are both checked and unchecked at a lower level.

For example:
- I have a disk with two extras
- I uncheck audio stream 1 on the second extra
- I pop up to the 'folder' containing all my extras
- the audio stream 1 checkbox is gray, telling me I have some extras with the audio stream 1 box checked, and some with it unchecked.

Hard to explain, but I hope you get the idea.
