Hi,

Is it okay to use the exact same XviD settings for first pass and second pass?

Is is true that for custom matrices, you should encode the first pass as MPEG and the second pass as MPEG-Custom?

No that's wrong you have to use the same matrices in first AND in second pass. ;)

Newest XviD (more recent than beta2) will automatically change your settings for first pass to save you some time.

Your GUI settings should be the same for each pass.
