Crystalplayer will not open my mkv files. But it works ok in BSplayer. But in BSplayer are the subtitle wrong. ÅÄÖ is missing or have wrong character.
I using virtualdubmod to mux an Xvid + subtitle.srt + audio.ogg.
When i using ogm then both players can open the stream but i cant se any subtitle.
How can a make crystelplayer to open my mkv file?
How can i make bsplayer to show åäö in the subtitle?

You need the subtitle filters from Gabest (or SubtitDS from Tobias) to view the subtitles within an OGM.

'Can't open video stream' does not look like a subtitle b0rk. What happens if you mux your file with avi-mux gui?

Try using WMPC (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84358) to playback the file, and if it still gives you video errors make sure you have the newest FFDShow (http://athos.leffe.dnsalias.com/ffdshow-20031128.exe) installed.
for the subtitles go with Koepi's first suggestion, the Gabest filters, but I find that if you install the last VobSub 2.23 (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Subtitles/VobSub_2.23.exe) works best for displaying the subtitles.
Hopes this helps ya m8 :D

So it at least means that the error is not placed in VirtualDubMod or libmatroska

Sorry for my bad english.
BSPlayer only supports UTF-8 subs. Maybe your sub isn't in that format.

I was trying to change settings for the subtitle when the movie was playing. When i stopped the movie and changed subtitle settings under BSplayer options, was the problem solved. Now can BSplayer show åäö for me :)
Don't know why but i like crystalplayer better then BSplayer. And Crystalplayer can play mkv files when they not containing any subtitles. Strange?!?
So i will use GKnot to put the subtitle into the movie before i make an xvid out of them. Then i don't have to use Subrip and search the subtitle-text for errors :)
Thanks for your help!
