I've run a title through DVDStripper and it properly removed the junk I didn't want from VIDEO_TS. However, now the first play is VIDEO_02_1 and it should be the root menu at VIDEO_02_0.

The overview for VIDEO_01_0 shows it claims to have the root menu. However, it's link to the entire movie. I guess that means the movie would play THEN the main menu would come up?

VIDEO_01_1.VOB (quick intro) plays then it jumps to VIDEO_02_1.VOB (main program).

There must be some way of putting linkage in VIDEO_TS.IFO to force the playback to start with VIDEO_02_0 instead of VIDEO_01_1, correct?

How would this be corrected using IfoEdit?

I'l think you need that VTS_02_0. vob for navigating

Try to rip the movie with dvd shrink 2.3 (found on this site)
klik open disk==> dvd reads in
klik re-author ==> all the files are moving to lower left corner
drag and drop largest file (main movie) from lower left to upper right.

if the inication is all green, it fits on 1 dvd.
here you can leave out subpictures and adio streems.
you kan also trim start and end of the movie with [start and end]
note: don't go higher than compressie level 3 ==> bad quality
klik backup and select target folder.

goodluck........... Robin

No need to do all of that. The only problem was the part I wanted to launch, wasn't. It's fixed now.
