I Have an Audio Problem .. I Can't Hear Anything & When I Capture Something & Save it I Still Dont get Sound ...

I have Everything Plugged & I'm %100 Sure Everythin' is Alright Outta The Computer .. But I Might have Somethin' Wrong in The Computer ...

Can Anyone Help ?

You should have a audio lead and a video lead from your source. Where do you plug them into? Most internal capture cards have a audio out and you have to jumper it to your sound card.

I plug the Audio in & Video in (in the Capture Card)
& I plug the Audio out & Video out in the VCR

Plug the audio lead directly into your soundcard. Try a few minute capture to see if that solves your problem. What capture software are you using? Please give us a more complete idea of your total computer and capture setup. We can't see your computer so you need to give us a complete verbal picture.

And, the soundcard driver must be set to "line-in" for recording; you'll get no sound if it's set to record from "Mic."

Your PCI card should have come with a short jumper cable, to go from "line out" on the capture card to "line in" on your sound card. When not using a tuner, this jumper cable merely passes the sound to the soundcard.

Usually, both of these PC audio connections use stereo miniplugs. But VCRs use different audio connections, such as RCA sockets, and if RCA, one for a mono VCR and two for Stereo. You'll need a cable to match your needs, which might be a "Y" cable for stereo RCA sockets.

What does your card's documentation (included in packaging, or from the company's website) tell you to do?

This is What I Do .. First I Plug the Red one Into the Video Plug for In/Out

Then I Plug the Yellow one into The VCR's Audio Out & The Capture Card Audio in "Line In"

& I Still Don't Get Sound ... & I Dont Get u When u Said Plug the Audio in (in The Soundcard)?

Those are RCA Phono plugs, the ones I mentioned earlier. They're used for analog sound and composite video. The standard color usage is Yellow - composite video Red - Right audio channel White - Left audio channel...but as long as you keep them straight, that's fine.

Your capture card vendor, Pine Technology, doesn't seem to exist anymore ...their US website, www.pineusa.com gets rerouted to www.xfxforce.com, so I can't find an image of the connectors on the card. But if there's an audio connector on the card, it likely isn't an RCA Phono socket, since that would only be a single audio channel. If there's a single RCA Phono socket on the card, it's probably for composite video.

If your PCI video capture card includes a channel tuner -- you can tell because there will be an 75-ohm RF "F" connector on the card -- there should also be an "audio out" socket that fits a 3.5mm stereo plug, and the card should have come with a short cable with two of those plugs on it. One goes into the "audio out" socket of your PCI card, the other goes into the "line in" of your soundcard. That's because the sound has to get from the capture card to your sound card.

If your PCI video capture card doen't have a channel tuner, then there probably no audio connections on the card at all, and you've cross connected an audio-out to a video-in.

Here's a picture of what those stereo plugs look like. I connect my VCR's right and left audio through a "Y" cable that has two RCA Phono plugs on one end (Red and White), and one of these stereo plugs on the other:

whats Right & Left & which one shud I use for Audio in?
I got DScaler program with the CD

I'm not sure which of us are more confused.

If your VCR is monaural, then only one audio channel will be captured. However, you'll still need an RCA -> Stereo plug adapter. Perhaps a Y cable, leaving one of the two RCA plugs disconnected.

I Think Thats where I have got the Problem ... Cause I Checked the Plugs & Everything Last Nite .. & Everything was Ok!

Do you have a cable with an RCA plug or two at one end, and a 3.5mm stereo plug at the other? You will not be able to capture audio from your VCR without one.

Have you tried using your tuner (channel selector), and if so, do you have an audio patch cord that goes from the capture card to the soundcard? It will have a 3.5mm stereo plug at each end. You will not be able to capture audio from an RF signal without one.

Finally, I'll repeat a question I asked last week:...What does your card's documentation (included in packaging, or from the company's website) tell you to do?

I Just Found Out that "BT878 WDM Audio Capture" is not Installed, then I Re-Installed it but It Still The Same ...
