NuMenu4U Issue with Barbie Of Swan Lake

On trying to back up my PAL copy of Barbie of Swan Lake, if I try and reencode the main menu (VTS_27_0.VOB)then then disk does not behave correctly - It plays the Universal title clip - then freezes where it would usually ask you to choose a language. Pressing play again causes it to carry on as it would after the language selection screen - but the language selection screen is never displayed.

When it then goes to start the main menu, the lead in scene to that isnt displayed either, but just straight to the final menu.

Replacing VTS_27_0.VOB with that from the original DVD returns it to normal.

After taking a look with a handy utility + keygen called 'MenuEdit 2.3' that someone has posted on alt.binaries.multimedia.utilities I can see that some of the vob IDs are actually missing on the encoded file which is why its not working - eg the language change screen - Vob ID 38 is no longer there. It now goes straight from Vob ID 37 to Vob ID 40.

So for some reason Numenu4u has removed Vob IDs that were required...
