My backup is broke :(

I made a backup of Dreamcatcher and now I need it since my disc snapped! But I have a big problem, the whole movie is French lanuage (damn those French).

Using AVIcodec I see there is an audio stream x80 and x81. When I change the language setting in Zoom or WinDVD to English it still plays in French. Do you think x80 is french and x81 is english? If so how can I get it to play english?

i don't think they would let a mistake like that happen; instead of switching languages during the movie, why not just choose the language you want at the main menu

I did not backup the menus, just the VOB files

I fixed the problem finally by a) demuxing the file and listing to x80 and x81, x80 was english and x81 french. Then I went back to the vob file and ran it through DVDx choosing x80 as the audio stream. This resulting a single file that I could then watch in English. Does anybody know why they waste the money on putting French into DVDs? I could understand Spanish or Chinese but so few people in the world speak it comparatively.
