i've started recently encoding dvd's and i'm having 2 problems.
The first one is that, although I'm using avi files with ac3 audio tmpeg is not creating the surround sound. The second one is that i don't know how to insert subtitles in the dvd's. Sorry about the english
Thx anyway

Tmpeg doesn't do ac3 encoding. Demux the ac3 file using mpeg tools in Tmpeg. And then encode the video as a elementary m2v file. Then use the files with a authoring program of your choice, most except the seperate streams and some use mpg files with the option of replacing the audio with a external audio ac3 file. For the subtitles you can use subrip to make a sst file, or other programs to get the subtitle formats. I can't help much there, because i don't keep subtitles when i'm authoring dvds. Do a search on adding subtitles in the forum.
