I've searched, but can't find a solution to my problem.

I open the largest IFO file, but when I click on the disc to scan the DVD, the DOS window pops up (I don't have time to read what it says), then the window "Analyzing video, please wait" pops up and never goes away.

I just reformatted my computer, but I have the same setup as before - Win XP Pro. I've obviously not installed something properly, I think.

I have a LiteOn DVD-ROM (which I've flashed so it has no region protection).

sounds like the ASPI drivers have not been installed, happens to me everytime i reinstall and i am pretty sure that is what i do to fix it.

go to http://www.dvd2dvd.org/ there are download links on the front page.

An easy fix for this is to open up DVD decrypter. After if opens and recognizes the disk just shut it down, now dvd2svcd will have stopped analyzing and you can convert as you please.............
