Capturing in colour problem

I have an ati radeon 9000 vivo with my tv connected through the s-video and all i get is a b&w picture. I have tried both virtuadub and mmc and got the same result, im in pal region and card is set to pal-i ive tried all the others aswell still the same result. I have done a search on the forum and there was lots of results but none of them had a solution to the problem. If anyone knows how to fix i would be really grateful thanks...

Your TV only outputs composite on the scart you use. The scart pin is then connected to the Y pin of the s-video. Hence B&W.

Try another scart connection on your TV or use the composite to connect to the vivo.

forgot to say i also have a wintv card in my pc and that outputs in colour. trying to get the vivo to work so i can get rid of it to free a pci slot.
