I did a search and read several posts about subtitle, but can anyone help me with some clarification?
I backed up 2 dvd, each one have 3 subtitles. In DIF4U, they both were shown that they have W and L streams, and both have 16:9 ratio
0x20 - EN (W)
0x21 - ES (W)
0x22 - FR (W)
0x23 - EN (L)
0x24 - ES (L)
0x25 - FR (L)
After I import everything back into scenarist, I have 2 scenarios:
First, I checked both W & L option in scenarist for all 6 streams
Result: after IFOupdate, i played the dvd w/ powerdvd, and it shows 6 subtitle streams (orignial shows only 3)
so I tried the second method:
I checked W and L accordingly to the setting in DIF4U, and it came out w/ 6 subtitle streams also. But for the second DVD, I tried this method, and it came out w/ 3 subtitles.
I read the help in DIF4U, and found out that:
F = Fullscreen (4:3)
W =Widescreen (16:9)
L =Letterboxed (16:9)
P =Pan&Scan (16:9)
Does this mean I only need to rip 1 stream, and import in accordingly to the ratio? Anyone know how to set the subtitle in scenarist so that after ifoupdate, the dvd would have the exact same structure as the original one?
