Newbie here,
Ok. Let me get this straight. After doing some reading for a while (a long while), I found out that you can't capture DV video thru firewire with Virtual Dub. Is this right? If it is, then how come most of the guides don't tell you that? Geez...
One more thing. I heard you need some kind of a driver (VFW) in order for Virtual Dub to work with most firewire DV devices. Since Microsoft doesn't support it anymore then we're out of luck (DV users). Although, they have a newer version (WDM), Virtual Dub does not support it because they said its too complicated to program or something. I guess we (DV users) are out of luck again?
Can anyone help?
