OK, What I want works. But I want to do it easier.

I want to back up a complete DVD with all Extras, Stuff etc.

The mainmovie I reencode with CCE and authored it with rejig 0.5c.

Than I copy all informations about "Playback time", "entry sector", "Start sector" and "End sector" from the IFO created by rejig to the original IFO like in this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17400)

g) 'Til now everything is quite simple, and it doesn't take much longer than the previous procedure. Now the final and most boring process: you must edit the film IFO file, and look for the PGC_1 area aunder VTS_PGCITI. In each of the cells it is necessary to replace the information about "Playback time", "entry sector", "Start sector" and "End sector" with the values that appear on the multiplexed Scenarist IFO. This will correct the chapter points. As I said before, this is the most boring part, as usually films have near 30 cell information you must copy and paste. Perhaps Derrow can help in this point including a new tool to sync chapters.

So I got a working IFO for my plan to replace the original VOBs with my new encoded one to fit on one DVD+R by keeping the original Menu and Extras (If they don't fit I transcode only the extras with DVDShrink to a less size...).

Than I found IFOupdate. So I want to speed up my 'information copying'. (This is very terrible to do the 'copy / paste'-thing for example on matrix 2 ...)

I got this error: http://rj-elektronik.de/avideo/images/bug100.jpg

So I started to search in doom9.org for a solution for this problem.

I got these threads:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62883&highlight=ifoupdate+error

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64032&highlight=ifoupdate

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39675&highlight=ifoupdate

So my final question: Is there a way to ignore the PGCs and Chapters to update the IFO? :sly:

I found the solution by my self!

Here is the way:

Backup the VIDEO_TS.IFO/BUP/VOB and VTS_01_0.IFO/BUP created by rejig.

Copy the original VIDEO_TS.IFO/BUP/VOB and VTS_01_0.IFO/BUP/VOB into the VIDEO_TS folder

Open IFOUpdate and open in 'Original IFO Path' the original IFO of the DVD.

Open in 'Authored IFO Path' the authored IFO by rejig.

Make a backup if You want.

Run 'Cell Only Mode' and ignore all warnings.

Open now the edited by IFOUpdate IFO in 'Original IFO Path' and the Original IFO in 'Authored IFO Path' and run again 'Cell Only Mode'.

In some DVDs the have a numbering with a jump. In Matrix 2 is it:

... 19 20 22 23 ... etc. so 21 is never in the numbering of the chapters.

How to fix this: Open IfoUpdate and load the edited Original IFO.

Go to VTS_PGCITI\VTS_PGC_1.

Go to the line 'PGC Program Map:' and fix the numbering.

in Matrix 2 for example:

... 19 20 22 23 ... in ... 19 20 21 22 ...

Save the VTS_01_0.IFO.

Now it is time to fix the PGC problem. Open the Original VIDEO_TS.IFO and go to 'VMG_PTT_SRPT' to the line 'Title_2: Title playback type' (So it is, if Your mainmovie has Title 1) and change the type into the same type like Title 1 (from 52 to 20, is it in Matrix 2).

Enter at 'Title_2: Number of chapters' the count of the chapters like Title 1. (1 to 36, so it is with Matrix 2)

Enter at 'Title_2: Title Set Number' 1 instead of 2.

Check if the starting sector of Title 2 the same is like Title 1. If not change this into the same like Title 1. Save the VIDEO_TS.IFO.

Check the DVD with your software DVD Player.

Now starts the mainmovie instead of showing You a black picture on Your SAP.:sly:

You really meant to say IfoEdit, right? ;)
