Hi

I'm getting this http://jonny.leffe.dnsalias.com/doom9/dvderr.png

This happens always if:

1) a burned dvd+r disk is inserted
2) i start dvddec and the default mode is ISO/W

I obtain the same after burning the disk (after closing the burning window), but of course the disk is written correctly.

Example of a disk burned:

Device Information:
Current Profile: DVD+R

Disc Information:
Status: Complete
Erasable: No
Sessions: 1
Sectors: 2.187.552
Size: 4.480.106.496 bytes
Time: 486:09:27 (MM:SS:FF)

Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
Disc ID: RICOHJPN-R01-02
Book Type: DVD+R
Part Version: 1
Disc Size: 120mm
Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified
Number of Layers: 1
Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP)
Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit
Track Density: 0.74 um/track

Format Capacity:
Sectors: 2.295.104
Size: 4.700.372.992 bytes
Time: 510:03:29 (MM:SS:FF)

My burner is LG (GSA-4040B), burning under Win2000 SP4

I haven't found any report about this, dunno if it's a bug or i'm missing something.
If you need others info let me know!

Thanks for the great app

Yeah I know about that but its not really a bug.

For some reason, your drive just wont report the current write speed for media it cant burn to - i.e. media that has already been burnt.
It's just a firmware issue - or at least I think it is - because none of my burners suffer that problem.

Exactly the same code is run when you put a blank in and it doesnt error out - does it?

Yes, you are right.
Many thanks for the explanation!

Was in the middle of a DVDDecrypter burn while I was reading this and when the screen shot popped up I thought it was coaster city in the burner!!

I think we need a Parental Advisory or something here!!

Well my BP and heart rate is now back to normal...
