Hi, I've got a movie file, believe it's divx, but that dosn't really matter. Nero is very easy to use in my opinion and I was wondering if the one click and any vid format to SVCD (mpeg 2 i think) feature they have is good compared to other choices. Will there be a major loss of quality?

you can encode with it to mpeg2
but i wouldn't recommend it
you can better use tmpgenc or other encoding programs,
these programs are "specialized" in encoding, they will give you a much better mpeg2 file

I agree, quality wise, it's better to use a standalone encoder and just use nero to burn it. TMPGEnc is a good one for newbies. With it's templates and what not. Always a good thing to squeeze out every ounce of quality you can get. :D
