Outlined subtitles using Scenarist and Big 3.

First of all, I'm quite new to this.
My problem is when I have ripped a movie, using the big 3 and then when I'm going to use my software dvd-player my subtitles are all outlined. Same color but outlined.
I have followed the guide using the big 3, but I end up with weird subtitles. What can I do to correct this?

P4 3 GHz
1024Mb RAM
Pioneer A06 (using it to both read and burn)
Win XP Pro (SP1)
All the programs included in the guide 'Scenarist and the Big 3'
Power DVD (4.0)
