Hello!

I have a big problem.
I have a Stones concert, and if I play the concert with the "Media Player" it looks really good, but if i wont to encode it to a SVCD, the picture is bad :-(
I have opened the concert into Virtual Dub, and the picture look like this:

Here the picture auf Gspot:

What can I do ?

Hi-

I think the reason it looks screwed up is because the resolution is 474x360, and 474 is only Mod 2.

I'm not real sure what you can do to get it to encode to MPEG2/SVCD, except to suggest that you make an .avs using AviSource, if you're not using one already. Just a suggestion, and I have no idea if it will work. But whoever made the .avi didn't really know what he was doing to have chosen a resolution like that.

I've had an AMV with the same problem. I wanted to convert it to vcd, but couldn't. I tried many ways to convert it, but nothing worked. *heh* Even FFDSHOW wouldn't play it. Only DivX's decoder. Back then, I didn't know of directshowsource. Would this work? I don't know much on that, but would it use the divx decoder? Then you can add the resize filters below it.

Note, I would have to dig out the cd I have with the bad resolution encode to find out for myself.

I used either avifix or divfix on one of these. Can't remember which. I was able to correct the problem.
