View Full Version : Some trouble with 3ivx dsfilter

For some weird reason I can't use the 3ivx splitter in graphedit on any .mp4 file, either the aac created by nero or even an .mp4 movie created with 3ivx muxer! It always says that it can't connect the pins or whatever. .mp4 files play just fine on my pc, it's just when I want to use the splitter that it crashes.

Also another question. Is there any way of using chapters outside of nero recode2? Any current tools that support them?

After the installation of Nero Recode, directshow will use ahead's filter by default for .mp4. If you want to use 3ivx ones instead, I suggest you reinstall 3ivx : that way, you'll be able to use 3ivx filters in third parties players and still ahead filters in nero showtime ... 3ivx D4 4.5 doesn't support chapters for the moment (our internal version already does). 3ivx D4 4.5.1 should be released in a few weeks.

Hmm, but by using graphedit wouldn't that kinda override the nero ones? But anyway, here's what I did, I re-encoded the aac file (using besweet and bsn.dll again) and for some reason, I got an .aac file instead of the normal .mp4 one. I have no idea why because I didn't change anything. And now I went to try the graph again, and it worked no problem. Then I renamed the file .mp4 just to see what happens, and I got the error again. Does that have anything to do with nero filters since they don't use the .aac extension...?
