Help, I`m after a program (or programs) to convert mp4 into dvd compliant mpeg2 files.
If anyone has done this then please leave a reply as I`m stuck at the moment!
I opologise if this is in the wrong section, if it is leave a message and I`ll move it.
Thanks, Keith.

Hi-
Here (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/avi2dvdr.htm) and here (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd2svcd-avi.htm).
Nothing you couldn't have found by yourself with about 30 seconds of looking.

Cheers, I`ve been looking all day actually!
Searching for mp4 to Mpeg2 proved fuitless, maybe I`m just stupid, blind, or bone idle.
Thanks for your time.

I`ve tried loading the mp4 file into TMPGEnc to re-encode and it doesn`t recognise .mp4 files, can CCE load up .mp4 files?
At the moment I can`t find any pogs other than Quicktime that`ll recognise, let alone convert the .mp4`s.
Still lost..

Found a great codec from 3ivx.com, this has allowed me to load up the file into TMPGEnc and it`s re-coding into mpeg2 as we speak, the wonders of the internet eh!

Hi-
Maybe it's I that owe you an apology. When you said mp4, I thought you meant MPEG4 and .avi. The guides to which I pointed you won't do any good, without first converting the .mp4 to .avi. And just the other day I saw an explanation somewhere on this site for an easy way to convert .mp4 to .avi, but for the life of me I can't remember where. Maybe someone else knows. Anyway, I'm glad you got it sorted out.

Bond's MP4 FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62723/) is full of excellent information.

Bond - Good FAQ! I first found a link to your MP4 Menu, then after a little digging, found the FAQ. I don't know if this is the thread that Manono was referring to, but thought I'd go ahead and throw it in. It appears as if keithmac is well on his way to working this one out, but anyone in the future that's drawn to this thread via the search engine may find the additional links to be a nice boost. :)

Cheers all, I`ve managed to sort it out using the codec, had tried quite a few without sucess but the one listed above does the business!
manono, thanks for the apology, maybe my post wasn`t as specific as it could be, the .mp4 is a strange beast.
Will have a look in the FAQ listed and see if I can learn a bit more about it.
