Ripping Vob Folder

Hi-

Is there a way of ripping just the VIDEO_TS folder, using DVD Decrypter ? I would like to do this so that I can copy the DVD using Nero Recode 2, and i think you only need that folder. Does this mean that that folder contains menus and stuff too ? Or does Recode just open the VIDEO_TS folder and then open other folders where the other on the dvd would be (so that it can build a directory around it), if you see what i mean...

thanks for the link 2cool, so... i would have to rip the AUDIO_TS folder aswell to get the audio.. ..and therefore it would be like ripping the entire dvd anyway. so i guess recode 2 must just use the VIDEO_TS folder as a starting point and look at the rest of the dvd from there.

Ac3Dc3.:devil: The AUDIO_TS folder is only used for DVD-A (DVD Audio) disks. The VIDEO_TS folder is for DVD-VIDEO disks. Don't be too mislead that the audio from your movie resides in your AUDIO_TS folder. There are already musxed in the VOBs. Most of the time, the AUDIO_TS folder is empty. If you are doing a Movie DVD, there's been argruments on whether the AUDIO_TS folder should be present. But for maximum compatibility, it should be there regardless if it's empty.

Since Recode 2 is so much like DVD Shrink ,it doesn't do DVD-A. My suggestion is use the Recode 2 Guide (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/recode2.htm) here at Doom9.

woa! wait, i think i understand now - DVD Decrypter's file mode, just rips everything in the VIDEO_TS folder, decrypted etc... and this is what i should be using - i was only using IFO mode b4 to get the just the VOB files. thanks for your help,
