hi all ,

as a newbie here i hope i'm not showing my ignorance with this ...?
here goes ....

im editing my video capture (analogue/composite/PAL) in virtualdub & then frameserving to tempgenc to render to mpeg2.

if i apply a deinterlace filter in virtualdub i would have thought that tempgenc would then see the frameserved file as being non-interlaced but it still seems to think the file is interlaced.

should tempgenc's video type be set as interlaced or progressive?

thanx,

oz

Progressive. I think it automatically goes to the interlaced flag, when you put something that's 29.970 and is full frame. (x480)
