How many megs will fit on a 80 min CDR, because I swear I fit like 850 before...now I'm trying to fit about 880 on a TDK silver top/bottom and it stops burning at 94%

I multiplied .94 to 878, and got only approximatly 828 megs...

The SVCD faq says 807, but I know I can get more w/o overburning, or atleast I think...

What I'm wondering now is, are my mpegs to big, or my movie messed up.

Which program are you burning with?
I use Nero, and if the cd is 80 min/700 mb i can fit a file with the size of 800 mb easily, so you should use a file that is approximatily 100 mb more then the cd can fit, i think 180 mb is too much.
Hope this helps

I was using VisualVCD, and a copy of CDR-win that came with my burner...I think it's pretty old...

but anyways,

I'm re-encoding it, and I'm trying to make it 850 megs...

will tell you what I find out

thanks jojo
