View Full Version : TMPGEnc DVD Author won't open ReplayTV MPEGs

I have an application that lets me transfer recorded shows from the ReplayTV unit to my PC. The format is APPARENTLY MPEG-2...but maybe there's something weird about it. TMPGEnc DVD Author won't open these files. TMPGEnc won't open it either (so I could make sure it's encoded properly).

Does anyone know how to get these MPEGs on a DVD-R?

Hi MDesigner,

use GSpot or similar to establish that it's a MPEG2-file (check the download page on Doom9). Some of what I wrote in the "Problem with recording DVB stream on DVDs " thread might be of use to you.
