ATI DVD player problem using Pio A06

Sorry if my problem is not related to DVD burning, but it occured since I installed my new Pioneer A06 burner so I hope it's correct to ask here.

The ATI DVD Player refuses to play all my DVDs with this message:
"DVD copy protection initialization failed. Playback is stopped".

The drive is R2 as well as all my DVD's. I changed the region only once because the ATI player asked to do.

DVD Decrypter has no problem in playing DVDs as well Media Player Classic.

What's wrong with the ATI player and the Pioneer A06 burner?

(With my old Pioneer DVD reader everything was fine).

Dunno, sounds like crappy software. Possibly try a RPC1 flash to make it region-free and see if that helps. You'll also gain 12x ripping speed if you use the right firmware.

Thank you, but it's brand new (2 days old) and I don't want to loose the warranty before being sure it works very well.
I agree with you about the crappy ATI player, it's still a 2001 program and no newer versions are available from ati website.
I was thinking to try with different players (PowerDVD for example).
