images and virtual drives

I am trying to open a cue image file in alcohol 120% or Daemon tools and they both say the same thing. It says line 1 must begin with file command. So i change the cue file line 1 to start with the word file and then it gives other errors and i try to deduct what changes it needs by the error i receive. Now it tells me line 1 unknown file type. I tried several things but cant figure out what its looking for. Is it possible for someone here to paste the lines of a cue file here so I can see what its looking for. Here is my line 1 right now.

file d:\THE_KID.iso img

I put img at the end because if i dont it says file type not specified so i try different types and no matter the type it says unknown file type. It would be appreciated much if someone could show me whats in there cue file that works with Daemon tools or alcohol120%.

A proper cuefile looks like this:


FILE Image.BIN BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00


But you shouldn't need a cue file at all, just mount the ISO itself...

I tried to just mount the image but the image is several files long and it only mounts the first. All the data shows up but you can only access the first gig worth. Aparently the program that made the image doesnt make a true cue image.

You shouldnt ever get an ISO split across multiple files without another file that tells programs how to rejoin them.

What made the ISO files in the first place?
