could anyone help me i am trying to get the audio files from divx i can get the m2v but not ac3 could you shine some light on this for me has i am new to this.

If so, it's highly unlikely that you've got an AC3 stream in it. It's more likely to be an Mp3 stream!
I would have thought you would know what audio streams are in the encode, if you had generated it yourself!

It sounds like he's working with DVD2AVI.
If you are trying to get the AC3 from a VOB try using VOBEdit to demux the AC3 stream.

Heres the dope for audio, claudio,
use gspot to identify the target and precise location..
use virtualdub or virtualdubmod to seperate and enjoy !
