question here about de-interlacing techniques

Hello,

I heard someone who sounded very smart with avisynth talk about de-interlacing...

he/she said that you can deinterlace only the moving parts, atleast as I recall...

what are some good ways to de-interlace some 4:3 DVDs USING AVISYNTH 2.50???

Only way I know, is using TMPEG...>=(

reason I am asking is because I bought all the Teckademics DVDs and want to encode them...they are directly from a DV source I think when they filmed them, so that's why they are fullscreen, interlaced, and have horizontal lines in some of the action parts I'm figuring...

Deinterlacing is very easy to do with AVISynth. You may want to check out a few walkthroughs on the site, they can tell you step-by-step how to do it. Additionally, you can read the FAQ, Walkthrough, and readme that comes with decomb--it is quite comprehensive.
