Heya all,

I have a movie that I would like to back up, and it was re-released on two disc's. When I bought it, it said that the first disc had the first 30 chapters, and the second has the rest.

After I decrypt and process the first disc, I am having problems with playback, but it looks deeper than that possibly.

I decrypted the entire disc and processed the whole disc, and also processed just the main movie files with the same result.

When it gets to about chapter 27 (after I burn it), it will just stop playing in my player. It will studder a few seconds, going all blocky, then just stop reading the disc.

The files that I burned were about 4.472gb so I don't think it was size or anything, but for some reason I cannot get the last few chapters to play.

I have just now decrypted only the movie files from the disc, and not the whole thing, and have processed it as "movie only". Usually when I get burning errors, or it comes out bad is because I try to process the entire disc, and just decrypting and processing the main movie files usually works fine.

So is that normal? Trying to fit the whole disc onto one blank usually causes problems? Or could it be something else?
Also, im using TDK 2x media, not sure if thats the best quality either.

thanks for any help or suggestions you guys can give me

Althought you used TDK media (which should be ok) it looks like bad media problem to me. Did you use some labels or something what can cause wrong balance in player?? Is it the same in standalone and SW player??

Next to the size of your media ;). Real size for DVD+R is 4482 MB (4.377GB). DVD-R is slightly bigger (aproximalety 10 MB).

I don´t know what did you mean by this:

Trying to fit the whole disc onto one blank usually causes problems?

But fitting all content of DVD9 onto one DVD±R is what all of us are doing all the time :D.
