i dont know where else to post this question...
is there a way to edit media that uses directshow filters? i know that vdub only handles acm and vfm.

I think using Avisynth <www.avisynth.org> and virtualdub, you can edit media using DSfilters. Avisynth outputs yv12 video which can be input to Vdub.

VirtualDub 2.x was supposed to be dshow based, but Avery gave up on it, dshow seems to be incapable of proper editing.
(Read: yep, great idea, but probably impossible)
