I did searches for quicktime, color space, conversion, RGB and YUV. I didn't find anything that answered my question--sorry if this has been covered already.
There was one thread in avisynth development that I think is aiming for the same goal...

QTreader works in RGB. Is there no way to use YUV? I thought premiere pro might be able to stay YUV but now I'm reading that it only works in YUV in certain circumstances (mainly DV).
I want to capture with the Blackmagic 10 bit Quicktime codec (YUV) and convert to Huffyuv (YUV) AVI. I want to minimize color space conversions, and this one just seems unnecessary--especially right off the top of the project.
A YUV quicktime import filter would be a god send!
Anyone have a solution that has worked for them? I have access to PCs and Macs, Premiere Pro, Vegas and Final Cut Pro...
