Please forgive if this question has been asked before. I did a search and didn't see anything.
I was wondering if there is any advantage to encoding twice with TMPEng. What I have is an mpeg file that I've already performed IVTC on and have resized from 4:3 to 16:9. I also used CBR of 7400. I am somewhat happy with the results, but I may need some color correction and noise reduction. I was thinking of reencoding my MPEG-2 file with TMPEng by just adding the noise reduction and color correction since it is already IVTC'ed and resized. Anyone have any suggestions or know if this will improve quality? Thanks.
I realize it will take more time to encode a second time, but if it improves the quality, it will be worth it.
