when i open my avs file in virtualdub (also happens in nandub...), on both input and output video streams, i see a small vertical yellowish tinged line about 1px wide, running right up against the left edge.

ive tried cropping further in, incase its a fault of the source material, but its still there, now far how extreme my cropping is. if i run the avs file in windows media player, the line isn't there, so im assuming its got something to do with vdub

i dunno if this is common or not, but its really ticking me off because it never used to happen, then all of a sudden, it started. i dont think this is a codec problem? it could be, but i dont see how a codec can influence what im seeing in vdub, when ive only JUST loaded the avs file? hope someone can help, cheers.

I've noticed this problem recently as well. It probably has to do with VDub / VDubMod not playing nice with YV12 material. It's only a minor nuisance, though; the encoded output doesn't exibit the artifact.

cheers for that

on my comp, using all xvid options to the max, it takes about 12 hours, when using filters, so i didn't want to risk it till i knew what was happening. but thanks for the reply.
