i download mpeg2 stream via a dvb skystar2 sat card.
in turn i burn direct to memorex 650 cd rw. my lennox dvd standalone player has no problems playing all content. however, the average movie needs 4 x cdrw's. i tried burning mpeg2 stream direct to a panasonic dvd ram burner using dvd-wr 4.7gig discs. i can play em on pc but alas not the standalone dvd player. anyone got a short sweet solution ? i'm loathed to converting or making the perfect dvd. i just wanna play em in a standalone. erase em and start again.
ciao ringrazie salute,

Hello, lusso, welcome to Doom9's forum. I've moved your thread to the DVB forum, since your question does not have to do with analog capture.

First demux your PVA or MPG with PVAStrumento which should fix errors if there are any. Then try DVDlab to author a DVD Video disc and burn to DVD-RW or DVD+RW. DVDlab is forgiving for those unstandard resolutions of some DVB-captures.

But all standalone players are not able to play non-standard DVD-resolutions so in that case you may need to reencode your video to standard DVD mpeg2. Some standalone players may also have problems with erasable discs, try a DVD-R or DVD+R and see if it works better. Alternatively take your disc to the shop and try to find a new player that can play your dvb recordings without problems.
