I know this is slightly off topic but is there anyone out there who has managed to get the DVD-RAM support to work in Nero's latest version of InCD (the 4.1 that comes with Nero 6.3)

I've been waiting a looooooong time for InCD to support packet writing to DVD-RAM so that I can finally dump the last remnants of Roxio Difficult ;) CD/DVD Creator (until now only Drag-To-Disc supported packet writing to CD-RW, DVD+-RW and DVD-RAM)

My first test was not very encouraging. It seems able to erase a DVD-RAM but any attempt to format it fails immediately with an Unable to Write to Disc error.

Any experiences out there? I'm using a Toshiba SD-W2002 DVD-RAM drive under XP Pro SP1 with high denisty media.

UPDATE:

Tested with a LaCie Firewire DVD-R/DVD-RAM drive (internally this is a Panasonic LF-D310) and InCD could format and write to the drive ... BUT ... when I read some of the files back I was getting what looked like intermittent corruption of the data.

So: Looks like it just doesn't support the Toshiba SD W2002 drive (well, it is pretty old now) but much more worrying is the apparent data corruption. For the moment, then, I'm assuming that DVD-RAM support in InCD is only in beta and should not be relied upon. I'll hold out for 4.2
