I got a nice surprise this evening while messing around with my new drive.
Since I cant use my old prassi primodvd with the new plextor, i had to try some other burning apps. They all worked about the same.
But then I tried something I have never tried.
I used the burning program inside tmpgenc dvd author. Since the program only burns at max speed(has no adjustment)it burnt a full dvd-r in just under 14 minutes. And the disc works in all the settop players in the house.
The real kicker is the disc I used was a ritek G03 1x-2x.
I also burned a verbatim datalife plus 1x in just under 15 minutes.
and a crapy princo 2 year old dvd-r disc in just over 20 minutes. And no coasters.
This little burning app is great!
If you havn't tried it, you owe it to yourself to try.
