Would someone please direct me to information about how to configure stubs for the PS/2 ports such that the mobo will think a mouse and keyboard are attached?

My guess is it will be a simple resistor to simulate a load.

The idea is to convert PS/2 plugs from some old mice to stub out the ports on a mobo so it will boot and can be accessed via VNC. Some mobos support this in the BIOS. I'm looking for a hardware fake.

Sth. like this? http://web.archive.org/web/20010521235419/rt.fm/~bk/mirrored/nullkeyboard.html - haven't seen anything for a mouse, though.
The BIOS of your board doesn't have a "halt on error" entry, I guess ...

yeah, all I need now is a mouse.

Some BIOS have that setting. I'm looking for something which doesn't require BIOS becuase it's annoyingly easy to forget the dettings are modified. With stubs, that problem can't happen.
