Question about .vaf file.

I was just curious about what this file does. When doing multipass encodes does CCE do any editing to this file or once it is created it stays that way.

It is updated every pass the encoder makes. Before VBR encoding can commence, this file is created using CBR. It then changes after every VBR pass. Basically, it contains information about the previous pass, hence, why it is called the video information file.

In OPV mode this file is created as the OPV encode progresses.
