hey there,
i've been back and forth on so many different deinterlacers from dgbob to kerneldeint to TomsMoComp that its beginning to drive me crazy. I found that i liked results from kerneldeint and TomsMoComp better then that of DGBob and that TomsMoComp seemed to create less noise in areas of motion then kerneldeint.
But both TomsMoComp and kerneldeint seem to blur a lot of motion. I don't have a problem with this until after my encode. I encode with xvid and anywhere it picks up blurred motion, it furthers noise (with boxes, etc). I've noticed that theres a difference in the amount of noise xvid creates when i switch from TomsMoComp and kerneldeint.
I'm wondering if any1 has played with this before and am interested in hearing their $.02 and what worked best for them. In the end, im trying to keep out as much noise as possible(from before and after the encode).
Here are the settings I've been using in KD and TMC:
KernelDeint(order=1,threshold=9,map=false,sharp=false)
TomsMoComp(1,5,1)
