OK, im backing up Eight Crazy Nights (pal). Now ive unticked the italian and russian 5.1 audio tracks, this saves me about 450mb, the menu is 645MB,and its 3 languages. Now using ifo edit ive strip away the italian and russian menu, this now makes the menu 225MB, saving me about another 400MB.This space saves lets me re-encode the movie with a avg. of 4387 and with that i can do then extras at 3000.

Now all i want to know is, after stripping the menu with ifoedit do i update vts sectors there, or after stripping dont update and wait till ive re-compiled with scenarist and let ifoupdate get vts sector.Or i could get vts sectors after stripping and after compiling. What do you guys think ??

Oh the video_ts.vob has 3 languages but is only 75MB, so i wont touch that.Last but not least, me stripping the main menu and not the video_ts.vob wont effect play back will it ??

get vts right before you burn it on dvdr. completely pointless to do it anytime before that.

Try using NuMenu4u for shrinking/stripping menus...

Ive already stripped it with ifoedit, but ive kept a backup of the original ifo,bup and menu vob.Im encoding the movie and extras tonigh. The menu should be fine, i'll see how it goes, only way to find out is to try i suppose.

PS... i know how to re-encode a menu with numenu ,but can you just strip a menu and not re-encode it, as thats what im doing.
