Gknot problem with the movie Dolls

i am trying to make a divx from takeshi's film dolls
the problem is that r4r cannot create a dvd2avi project
it gives me the error message that dvd2avi has encountered a problem and needs to close(sorry i dont know how to copy/paste the error log)

i tried using the alternative old dvd2avi/mpeg2dec3 combo which gknot suggests (dvd2avi 1.77.2+nic's mpeg2dec3) and i managed to create a dvd2avi but gknot cannot open it!!

the vob files are not corrupted i am sure about this
the funny thing is that this problem occurs only with this movie
and i dont know the reason :(

any idea?

Your version of DVD2AVI you use must match your mpeg2dec AviSynth plugin. From the Info tab in Gknot:MPORTANT: starting with version 0.28.6 GK is using new DVD2AVI/mpeg2dec3.dll combination made by Neuron2. If you planning to use different versions of those tools make sure you replace both of them (say with DVD2AVI 1.77.3 and Nic's mpeg2dec3.dll). Usage of those tools outside the combination is not recommended and is not supported in any way by the author and GK.To paste the .log file from R4R: open it with Notepad select all of the text Copy the selection (Edit...Copy) Paste the text into your reply in the browser (usually Edit...Paste)

u dont understand the error log is from dvd2avi not r4r which just states the problem
and i have the correct combo mentioned in gknot i ll try to screencapture the dialog box

Your "xmm" post was inadvertantly posted as a new thread, so I've moved it here as a reply.

You described your alternative DVD2AVI/MPEG2DEC as using 1.77.2, not 1.77.3, which is why I suggested the dll mismatch. The .d2v you create must be readable by the .dll you use, and there must be an exact version match.

It is my recommendation to use the DVD2AVI/dll pair that come with current releases of Gknot -- 1.77.3dg and mpeg2dec3.dll.
