View Full Version : Why MPEG stream doesn't have same flags after Big3 ?

I just finished backup "Sleepy Hollow". And I found something that I doesn't understand.

According to DVD2AVI & ReStream, the original video is :
"4/3", "Frame type progressive" UNchecked. (But DVDDecrypter says it's 16/9).

But after DIF4U, RA, BatchCCEws, the new video is :
"16/9", "Frame type progressive" checked.

I really don't understand why the new video doesn't have the same flags checked/unchecked as the original, specially for the aspect ratio.
I know it's possible to change BatchCCEws settings before encoding, but as it should be done automatically, I wonder if I missed something ?

(And the "Intra DC precision" is different too. I know that this has not a real impact on the quality. Anyway, it's not possible to tweak it with Docce4u/Batchccews)

afaik dvd decryptor gets the aspect ratio from the ifo. dvd2avi gets if from the vob. sometimes ifos are wrong (this throws dvd2svcd off as well). do it fast just uses what dvddecryptor gives it. the progressive flag changing is normal. default settings are to deinterlace all streams (make progressive)
