Working on region 1 NTSC. I have the latest of DoitFast4U at version 1.4.0. I thought this might be relivent to someone. It seems that the film is being detected as progressive film when the autodetect is used.

I am using stream detection in Frames Diagnosis mode with invert field order and supress aspect ratio checked.

I ran DoitFas4U twice on this film. The first time I let it run for the entire process and during playback it was obvious what had happened. I checked the avs files for the main vobs and found that they indeed were set to force film. On the second run I did not do any post processing just to check out the avs files to see if perhaps it was a fluke, but again forced film.

There must be something that I have set up wrong as I know that Eyes'Only has recently done this film in his recent guide.

This film is Telecine according to Eyes'Only, and my findinds would suggest the same. Reading in the guides and on the forums it seems that the Deint and Telecine settings on DoitFast4U are specifically for PAL titles and IVTC would be the proper setting for anything NTSC that is not forced film???

Thanks in advance.

Actually IVTC is more for hybrid titles now. The telecine script in DoItFast4U! works better for pure telecine titles, as you will notice if you use it on Finding Nemo. My final video looked excellent, and I used all the autodetect with no manual changes!

Eyes, do you set Stream Diagnosis in the Other Options to Frame Diagnosis?

I can't figure this out, something is going on here. Ok I am using Demux by VOB id. I am unchecking +CC and I always check All Angles for vobsubs sake. I have Frame Diagnosis set in other options under Stream Diagnosis, and I have checked Invert Field Order in File Names and Supress Aspect Ratio. I don't process with ReAuthorist, I do start automatic DoCCE4U (version 1.0.1.5).

So I decied to force Telecine for the main film. I selected VTS 01 on the right and turned off autodetect and selected Telecine. I let the complete process run and checked the main film to find that it had not Telecined the film, the avs scripts were exactly the same as with the autodetect. I can assure you that the working directory was completly wiped before I started this.

After this failure I started looking at the settings in DoitFast4U. I noticed that if you simply select the main VTS and then look at the settings under one of the PGC's, the PGC's under the main VTS do not inherit the settings from the main VTS. Is this behaviour intentional?? Is it required to set up each individual PGC?

Perhaps it is my fault for not setting up each individual PGC, although this feature would be very usefull if Demux by VOB id is checked. I am still confused as to why the autodetect continues to fail to set up the Telecine properly.

Hmm that doesnt make much sense to me. The settings are VTS specific, except for autodetect, which if enabled applies to all VTSes. Did you check telecine and then select autodetect on another VTS? that would effectively cancel out your manual selection...

Ahh yes that would be exactly what I did.

Question, if I set all the extra vts's up for autodetect first and lastly unselected autodetect for the main vts so I could manually Telecine would that work? Or would the fact that I had autodetect set at all override the main vts regaurdless?

Thanks for all the help.
