I have been using CloneDVD for some time now and with older DVDs, it works fine. However, I've recently tried to copy Xmen 2 and it says it's CSS encrypted.

So I decrypted it with DVDDecrpyter and tried to burn it. But it was too big (duh), so it took the main movie file and turn it into an ISO/UDF image and then burned that onto a DVDRW. Burned fine but wouldn't read in my DVD player.

Any suggestions on how I'm screwing it all up?

Were you using DVD Decrypter to rip before using CloneDVD or were you using something like AnyDVD?

What region / version of X-Men 2 do you have?

I tried CloneDVD first, but wouldn't even attempt it.
I didn't used AnyDVD.
Then I tried DVD Decrypter and that worked, but I couldn't burn it on to a DVD (too big, duh).
Then I used CloneDVD to burn an ISO/UDF image of the movie (and menu's). Worked fine.
Then I took that image and burned it on to a DVDRW (worked fine).
Then I played it on my DVD player (didn't work fine).

I have a Region 1 Xmen 2 DVD. The newest copy/rental of Xmen 2.

Hope this helps. I never use Nero DVD to burn my files/ISO/UDF images, always CloneDVD as its worked for over 10 DVD copies.

ok, so mount the image CloneDVD made in DAEMON Tools and then try and play it on your PC using windvd - point at the DAEMON Tools virtual dvd drive.

That will at least tell you if the image CloneDVD made is ok!

ok, let's assume i try that and it doesn't work (i returned Xmen 2 already) - what happens next?

it's not CloneDVD - 'cause it burned the image fine, but just won't read - hrm...back to square one it seems.
